Sen Godswill Akpabio, a former governor of AkwaIbom State, has been elected the president of the 10th Senate in a keenly contested race.
Mr Akpabio of the All Progressives Congress, APC, defeated his closest rival Abdulaziz Yari, to emerge the Senate president.
