JUST IN: Air Peace Flight Suffers Mid-Air Bird Strike, Forced to Return to Lagos
Air Peace has confirmed that one of its aircraft was forced to return mid-flight after encountering a bird strike on Thursday morning. The incident occurred shortly after takeoff from Lagos while operating Flight P47100 to Enugu.
In a statement released by the airline, the aircraft returned to base for safety checks in accordance with standard operating procedures. The airline also announced a temporary disruption across its flight network as a result of the incident.
“We sincerely empathize with our passengers over the inconvenience caused and appeal for your patience and understanding as we work diligently to minimize disruptions,” the airline said.
Air Peace reassured the public that the safety of its passengers and crew remains its top priority and that all necessary safety protocols are being strictly followed. While the number of passengers on board was not disclosed, the airline stated it is working to restore normal operations as quickly as possible.
