‘Jonathan, Kwankwaso Ticket Will Shake APC’ — Primate Ayodele
The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has said a potential presidential ticket pairing Goodluck Jonathan and Rabiu Kwankwaso would present a major test for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the next general election.
Ayodele made the remarks during a church service recently circulated online. He said a Jonathan–Kwankwaso alliance would intensify competition and put the APC government under significant pressure at the polls.
He also advised Kwankwaso to consider joining the African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing the party as a viable platform for building a strong opposition front. According to him, such a move could help consolidate support and strengthen the prospects of a joint presidential bid.
The cleric maintained that the next general election would be closely contested and warned that the political landscape could shift considerably before voting begins. He further claimed that the proposed alliance might attract backing from outside Nigeria.
