Joe Igbokwe Questions Demolition of Plazas at Lagos Trade Fair
Lagos State APC chieftain, Joe Igbokwe, has expressed concern over the recent demolition of several buildings in the Trade Fair area.
The state taskforce, working alongside security operatives, carried out the demolition of 19 structures identified as “illegal developments.” Authorities said the buildings were either erected without statutory approvals, structurally defective, or constructed on road setbacks and drainage areas.
Reacting on his Facebook page, Igbokwe described the demolition as shocking and questioned the action. He also revealed that he, former presidential candidate Peter Obi, and the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah are patrons of the market.
