Jigawa Governor Loses Son in Accident Day After Mother’s Death
Abdulwahab Umar Namadi, the first son of Jigawa State Governor Malam Umar Namadi, has passed away in a tragic turn of events. The 24-year-old lost his life in a fatal accident just a day after the governor’s mother, Hajia Maryam Namadi, died.
Hajia Maryam, the governor’s mother, passed away on Wednesday after a brief illness at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH). She was buried the same day according to Islamic rites.
The accident that claimed Abdulwahab’s life occurred on Thursday. While he was the only fatality in the crash, his friend, who was also involved, sustained injuries and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
