JAMB Announces 2024 UTME Registration Fee Increase

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially raised the registration fees for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). In a recent statement, JAMB outlined the updated fees, setting the cost at Seven Thousand Seven Hundred Naira Only (N7,700) for UTME registration, inclusive of a mock examination. For UTME registration without the mock examination, the fee is Six Thousand Two Hundred Naira Only (N6,200).

This adjustment marks a notable increase from the previous costs, with the JAMB form sans a mock exam previously priced at Five Thousand Seven Hundred Naira (N5,700) and the application form inclusive of a mock exam at Six Thousand Seven Hundred Naira (N6,700).

Foreign candidates are not exempt from changes, as JAMB announced that the application documents for this category will now be available at $30.

JAMB is expected to provide a comprehensive breakdown of these fees when unveiling the registration details on or before January 15, 2024.

In addition to the UTME adjustments, JAMB has released information regarding the registration period for the sale of Direct Entry (DE) application documents in 2024. The creation of profiles for registration has commenced, with the sale of application documents set to begin on Monday, January 15, 2024. The sale of Direct Entry application documents is scheduled to run from February 28, 2024, to March 28, 2024.

JAMB reassured prospective candidates that the ongoing process of creating profile codes for registration is underway. Detailed guidelines on generating profile codes will be provided at a later date, leading up to the commencement of registration on January 15, 2024.
