Isiokpo Monarch Vows to Uncover Truth Behind Herbert Wigwe’s Tragic Death Using Traditional Methods
In the wake of the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of Access Holdings Plc’s Group CEO, Herbert Wigwe, his wife, son, and others, the traditional ruler of Isiokpo, Blessing Wagor, has declared that “traditional means” will be employed to investigate the circumstances surrounding Wigwe’s death.
Wagor, speaking at a solemn gathering in his palace, emphasized the use of traditional methods to discern whether Wigwe’s demise was a result of natural causes or human intervention. Hailing from Isiokpo in Ikwerre LGA of Rivers State, Wigwe’s roots run deep in the community.
“We must traditionally bury him. He cannot be buried outside Isiokpo. He must be buried here. Isiokpo must find a way to probe his death,” Wagor asserted, as reported by The Nation newspaper.
The traditional ruler expressed a deep sense of loss for the late GCEO, describing Wigwe as “a wonderful person to us.” Wagor recounted Wigwe’s contributions to the community, including the establishment of a university and ongoing development projects, such as a promised light project.
“The light project he promised us is still ongoing. Who will give us light again? He has gone, and we are in pain,” Wagor lamented.
Wagor urged residents to honor Wigwe’s legacy by making a positive impact on the community, echoing the late GCEO’s qualities of humility, honesty, and respect.
As Isiokpo mourns the loss of a prominent figure, the use of traditional methods for investigation underscores the community’s commitment to unveiling the truth behind Herbert Wigwe’s untimely death.
