Immigration Raids: “I Regret Voting for Trump” – Latina Woman in Tears Over Fear of Family Deportation
A Latina woman has gone viral after posting an emotional video expressing deep regret over voting for Donald Trump, as immigration enforcement intensifies under his administration.
Following his inauguration on January 20, 2025, President Trump signed several executive orders aimed at advancing his immigration agenda. These include ending birthright citizenship, enhancing vetting measures, and creating Homeland Security task forces. As U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) began large-scale operations to detain and deport undocumented immigrants, fear spread through many immigrant communities.
In her video, the woman breaks down in tears, saying, “This is so crazy that we voted for Trump. We trusted him with the words he promised us Latinos.” She expresses alarm over reports of immigration raids beginning in multiple cities, adding that many Latinos at her workplace were too afraid to show up.
She then turns the camera to a television broadcasting Trump’s speech and continues, “I hate that I voted for him. Now I’m so scared for my family and y’all’s families. Y’all, we need to come together and do something about this.”
Her video quickly gained traction, with many social media users responding that Trump is simply following through on the promises he made during his campaign. Despite concerns from some Latino voters, Trump secured 46% of their vote in the 2024 election, the highest percentage for a Republican candidate in recent history.
