I’m the Right Person to Make This Demand — Tinubu Deserves 100% of Our Votes in 2027, Umahi Tells Ndi Igbo
Minister of Works, David Umahi, has called on the people of the South East to give President Bola Tinubu 100% of their votes in the 2027 elections as a show of appreciation for his administration’s developmental efforts in the region. Speaking on Monday during an inspection tour of the Umuahia-Aba Section II of the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway, Umahi stated that Tinubu had delivered more infrastructure projects for the South East than previous presidents.
He noted that the 56.1km stretch of the expressway is progressing steadily and will be ready for inauguration in June 2025. According to Umahi, adequate funding for the project was secured under the 2024 and 2025 national budgets, with only 2km of earthworks and 4km of asphalt work remaining to be completed.
Umahi said the people of the region should acknowledge Tinubu’s contributions by backing him fully in the next election. “The entire South East must give Mr President 100% of their votes in the 2027 elections to appreciate him,” he said. “I am the one that is fit to ask for your votes because he has used me to work for you. What happened before will not happen again. God was speaking but a lot of our Christian brothers would not hear.”
