“I’m a Warrior, I’ll Keep Fighting” – Anthony Joshua Rules Out Retirement After Defeat to Dubois
Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has dismissed speculation of retirement following his surprising defeat to Daniel Dubois on Saturday night. Despite being knocked out in the fifth round at Wembley Stadium, Joshua affirmed his commitment to the sport, stating he has no intentions of hanging up his gloves.
Dubois dominated the bout, knocking down Joshua in nearly every round before sealing the victory with a powerful counter right hand. This marked Joshua’s fourth professional career loss.
In a post-fight press conference, Joshua made it clear he’s not stepping away from boxing anytime soon. “Of course I want to continue fighting,” he said. “We took a shot at success and came up short. Does that mean we run away or fight another day? I’m a warrior, and I’ll keep fighting.”
Joshua also gave credit to his opponent, acknowledging Dubois’ strong performance in the ring.
