‘I’m a lover boy, not a womanizer’ – 2Baba on fatherhood and marriage to Natasha
Nigerian music icon Tuface Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has addressed persistent misconceptions about his personal life, emphasizing that he is not a womanizer.
In an exclusive interview with the Voice of Nigeria, 2Baba spoke candidly about fatherhood, marriage, and the pressures of fame.
“The biggest misconception about me is that I’m a womanizer. I like women; I’m just straightforward. But I’m a lover boy. I love hard,” he said.
The singer reflected on the challenges of balancing his music career with raising his eight children.
“I feel blessed and happy, but I regret not spending as much time with them as I should have,” he said. “It affects me sometimes, but they are amazing, brilliant people. I just wish I could be there more.”
2Baba also addressed public commentary about his wife, Natasha, particularly claims that she is overly controlling. He dismissed such narratives as misleading.
“Everyone has an opinion about everyone else’s life now. Sometimes people say very harsh things. You develop thick skin, but it can get to you. The truth is, she’s a brilliant, strong woman,” he said.
Away from the stage, 2Baba revealed a quieter side. Despite performing in front of massive audiences, he describes himself as naturally shy.
“My profession doesn’t allow me to be shy, but I am. Sometimes I just want to be alone and relax. I enjoy nature and having my own space,” he said.
