“If I, Fr. Nwebe Joy, Have Slept with You, Come Forward” – Catholic Priest Accepts Virginity Challenge, Calls Out Prophet Ebuka Obi

A Catholic priest, Rev. Father Nwebe Joy, has publicly accepted the “virginity challenge” issued by Prophet Ebuka Obi, seeking to disprove what he describes as the prophet’s falsehoods.

Prophet Ebuka Obi, a former Catholic who now leads his own ministry, has repeatedly claimed to be a virgin while accusing Catholic priests of attempting to discredit him. His claims intensified following the recent exposure of a false testimony given in his church. In response, he challenged Catholic priests to prove they, too, are virgins.

Father Nwebe Joy, rising to the challenge, has openly asked any man or woman who can claim to have had an intimate relationship with him to come forward. He further accused Ebuka Obi of lying about his virginity and vowed to expose him.

In a strongly worded statement, Father Nwebe wrote, “We hereby accept the Virginity Challenge, not because we are holier than anyone, but to rescue our children and our people from the lie of Ebuka’s pride.”

He criticized Obi for making statements that paint other ministers as “stupid sinners” and declared that such “intolerable pride” must be confronted. He also called upon the Holy Spirit to frustrate what he described as falsehoods and attempts to undermine the dignity of the priesthood.

Father Nwebe challenged anyone with evidence of an encounter with him to publicly share details, stating, “If I, Fr. Nwebe Joy, have slept with you—man or woman, in this country or abroad—drop your name or the name of the hotel in the comments section. Let everyone see.”

He further announced that a counter-challenge against Obi would be issued at noon on March 7, 2025, promising to “terminate, kill, and bury” what he calls the prophet’s lies. According to him, this is necessary to protect the sacredness of the Church and the sanctity of the priesthood.

Signing off his message, he declared, “Fr. Nwebe Joy (Ijele Muonso).”
