ICYMI: “I Never Said Tinubu, Akume, Orji Are Corrupt” — Ribadu Demands Apology from Naja’atu Muhammad

National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu has demanded a public apology and retraction from Naja’atu Muhammad, leader of Northern Star, over comments made in a TikTok video. The demand was issued in a letter from Ribadu’s lawyer, Ahmed Raji, on Tuesday.

In the video, Muhammad alleged that Ribadu had previously discredited the integrity of President Bola Tinubu, Minister of Special Duties George Akume, and Senator Orji Kalu during his tenure as chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). She accused him of now serving in an administration led by the same individuals he once criticized.

Raji dismissed the claims, stating that Ribadu has “never maintained such a viewpoint” against the three politicians. He described the allegations as baseless and harmful, urging Muhammad to provide evidence for her statements.

The letter demanded that Muhammad retract her comments and issue an unreserved public apology in at least five national newspapers within seven days. Failure to do so, it warned, would result in legal action seeking exemplary damages.
