“I Will Be Here to Celebrate Your 90th Birthday” – Obasanjo Tells Bishop Oyedepo
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has expressed his intention to be present at the 90th birthday celebration of Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of the Living Faith Church. During his remarks at Oyedepo’s 70th birthday celebration held at Faith Tabernacle in Ota, Ogun State, on Friday, Obasanjo emphasized his commitment to attending the milestone event.
“Today you are joining the club of Septuagenarians; from Septuagenarian, you will become Octogenarian, and I will be here. From Octogenarian, you will become Nonagenarian, and I will be here,” Obasanjo stated, humorously adding, “After that, I will leave you alone, and God will be with you.”
Obasanjo, who will be 107 years old when Oyedepo turns 90, reflected on the bishop’s significant contributions to the Ota community and shared his own experiences with farming in the area, which began in 1979. The former president’s comments underscored the enduring bond between him and the Living Faith congregation, as well as his admiration for Oyedepo’s influence over the years.
