I Was the First to Be Attacked, I Don’t Wish It on Anyone – Late ARISE TV Anchor’s Neighbour Recounts Ordeal
Sani Yusuf, a neighbour of late ARISE TV news anchor and producer Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu, has shared his experience during the armed robbery that led to her death.
Sommie tragically passed away in the early hours of Monday, September 29, 2025, following the attack at her residence in the Katampe area of Abuja.
Speaking about the incident, Sani, who lives in the same block as Sommie, revealed that he was the first person targeted by the assailants.
“This happened at the block I live in. I was the first victim to be attacked, right in the heart of Abuja. I don’t wish anyone the things I witnessed. When I’m ready, I’ll share details. For now, may the souls of the departed find peace,” he wrote.
