“How I Sold a Limousine Gifted to Me to Buy Motorcycles for My Pastors” — Pastor Adeboye

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has shared a striking story about handling unexpected luxury gifts in the early days of his ministry.

Speaking at a church thanksgiving service, Pastor Adeboye recounted receiving a Mercedes Benz from an elderly woman while he was still commuting by bus. Unsure of what to do with the gift, he initially left the car unused. Later, he said he was guided in a dream to honor the donor’s generosity.

“Why are you robbing my daughter of her blessing? She sowed a seed, and you are not allowing the seed to germinate,” he recalled God telling him in the dream. After prayer, he decided to sell the luxury car.

He revealed that the proceeds were used to buy motorcycles for his pastors, highlighting his preference for practical generosity over personal luxury.
