How Dangote Truck Caused Terrible Accident Along Kugbo-Nyanya Road – Police
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed a serious road traffic accident that occurred on Monday evening along the Kugbo-Nyanya expressway.
According to the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the accident involved a Dangote-owned truck with registration number KPF 305 XA, driven by Isa Salisu. The vehicle reportedly suffered brake failure, causing it to collide violently with a dispatch rider and a J5 bus bearing registration number WAM 45 XA.
While initial reports suggested multiple casualties, the police clarified that only three people sustained serious injuries. One victim was immediately taken to Asokoro District Hospital, while the other two were admitted to Nyanya General Hospital for medical care.
The affected vehicles have been impounded and taken to the police station as investigations continue.
SP Adeh urged all motorists to maintain their vehicles properly and strictly follow traffic rules to avoid preventable accidents.
This incident comes just 24 hours after another fatal crash occurred at the same location, highlighting ongoing safety concerns along the Kugbo-Nyanya route.
