“He’s My Sugar Daddy, My Boyfriend, My Husband” — Chris Okafor’s Wife Explains How They Met and Married

Pearl, wife of Lagos pastor Chris Okafor, has shared an intimate look into their love story, describing their relationship as divinely guided. Pastor Okafor is the founder of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry, also known as Liberation City, based in Surulere, Lagos. The couple tied the knot in Lekki on Tuesday in a ceremony attended by family, friends, and prominent clerics including Matthew Ashimolowo, senior pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre in London.

In a video shared on Pastor Okafor’s Facebook page, Pearl said their meeting and eventual marriage were orchestrated by God. “We met by divine orchestration. It was something that would have never happened by human effort. God actually put us together. He’s very, very intentional. He’s my sugar daddy. He’s my boyfriend. He’s my husband. He’s my best friend. And he’s still my daddy,” she said. Pearl expressed her excitement about starting a family, saying she looks forward to raising children and seeing them grow in God’s glory. She affectionately referred to her husband as “the only and only Oko, Ayanfe mi,” adding that he “makes my life sweeter” and knows the “secret button” in her heart.

Pastor Okafor also spoke about his choice in a life partner, saying he had no doubt about marrying Pearl because he knew what he wanted and is happy with his decision.

Their marriage comes amid controversy involving actress Doris Ogala, who has accused Pastor Okafor of ending a nine-year relationship with her and failing to fulfil a promise of marriage. Ogala also claimed that Pearl is the daughter of the church’s choir coordinator and alleged, in an Instagram video, that God led her to expose the pastor for sins she said she committed with him. She has demanded N1 billion from Pastor Okafor, giving a 21-day ultimatum for payment or legal action. As of now, Pastor Okafor has not publicly responded to Ogala’s allegations.
