Gunmen Kill Two Customs Officers, Local Resident in Kebbi Attack
Gunmen suspected to be Lakurawa terrorists have killed two Customs officers and a resident of Bachaka, a border community in Argungu Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
The attack, which took place a day earlier, was confirmed by the Public Relations Officer of the Kebbi State Police Command, Superintendent of Police Nafiu Abubakar. He noted that while the victims were identified as Customs officers, the specific unit they belonged to had yet to be determined.
Kebbi State Commissioner of Police, Sani Bello, visited the scene and assured residents of ongoing efforts to combat criminal activities. He described the attack as an act of desperation by the terrorists, attributing it to the pressure from intensified security operations in the state.
The incident occurred less than 24 hours after security forces reportedly neutralized two Lakurawa terrorists in the state.
