Governor Soludo Vows Justice for Slain Anambra Community Leader
The President-General of Umuoji community, Mr. Silas Onyima, was brutally murdered in his home on Friday night. Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, swiftly condemned the heinous act, pledging to bring the perpetrators to justice.
The lifeless body of Mr. Onyima was discovered naked in a pool of blood in his bathtub, leaving the community in mourning. Governor Soludo expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, the Umuoji community, and the entire Idemili North Local Government Area.
In a press release issued by his Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime, Governor Soludo denounced the senseless killing as an act of unprovoked violence. The Governor urged Anambra residents to remain calm and law-abiding while assuring them that the government, in collaboration with security agencies, is committed to keeping violent criminals at bay.
The statement emphasized Governor Soludo’s determination to ensure justice for the slain community leader. He directed state security agencies to take immediate and decisive action to apprehend the culprits, emphasizing swift prosecution to deter future occurrences.
