Video: Gov Ododo Arrives at Yahaya Bello’s Residence as EFCC Operatives Attempt to Arrest Ex-Kogi Governor
Governor Usman Ododo has made his way to the Abuja residence of former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, where operatives from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) are engaged in a standoff.
Governor Ododo arrived at Mr. Bello’s residence on Benghazi Street, Wuse Zone 4, at approximately 2:45 pm, amidst a tense situation. The EFCC officials, along with armed security personnel, had set up a barricade around the residence, blocking both entrances.
An EFCC official, who chose to remain anonymous due to lack of authorization to speak on the matter, informed Peoples Gazette that operatives tried to gain entry into the house but were prevented from doing so by Mr. Bello’s security team.
This developing situation comes amid heightened tensions surrounding allegations of financial misconduct during Yahaya Bello’s tenure as governor.
