Funke Akindele Bello, JJC Skills arraigned in court, plead guilty
Actress Funke Akindele and her husband Abdulrasheed Bello aka JJC Skills have appeared at a magistrate court in Ikeja this morning after contravening the stay at home order of the Lagos state government.
Akindele and her husband had thrown a party to celebrate his birthday with friends at the Amen estate home and shared videos of the party on social media.
This led to outrage from members of the public especially as Funke is an NCDC ambassador.
She was arrested yesterday and arraigned this morning before a magistrate.
The court sentenced both Akindele and her husband to two weeks community services and also a fine of N100,000 each. After which they would isolate for 14 days.
Each person will be made to visit 10 important places in Lagos in order to educate people on the need to comply with the rules.
They are mandated to provide the names and phone numbers of everyone who attended their party within 24 hours.
They are as well admonished to be law abiding citizens of the state.
