Full List: PSC Promotes 13 CPs, 17 DCPs, 18 ACPs
The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved a series of promotions across senior and mid-level ranks in the Nigeria Police Force. The promotions follow successful performance in recent written examinations and oral interviews.
Inspector-General of Police Tunji Disu decorated eight senior officers elevated to the rank of Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG) during a ceremony at Force Headquarters, Abuja.
The PSC announced the following promotions:
* 13 commissioners of police (CP) to assistant inspector-general of police (AIG)
* 17 deputy commissioners of police (DCP) to commissioner of police (CP)
* 18 assistant commissioners of police (ACP) to deputy commissioners of police (DCP)
* 35 chief superintendents of police (CSP) to assistant commissioners of police (ACP)
Torty Njoku Kalu, PSC spokesperson, said the promotions recognize officers’ performance and provide an opportunity for them to contribute further to the force. PSC Chairman Hashimu Salihu Argungu congratulated all promoted officers.
