Full List: President Tinubu Appoints Eight New Permanent Secretaries
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced the appointment of eight new permanent secretaries in the federal civil service. These appointments aim to fill existing and anticipated vacancies across various states and geopolitical zones in the country.
This marks the second wave of such appointments under President Tinubu’s administration, following a similar set of appointments made in June, which included representatives from Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bauchi, Jigawa, Ondo, Zamfara, the South East, and the South-South regions.
The new permanent secretaries were selected based on recommendations from the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, which carried out a thorough and diligent selection process.
The appointees are as follows:
Onwusoro Maduka Ihemelandu (Abia State)
Ndiomu Ebiogeh Philip (Bayelsa State)
Anuma Ogbonnaya Nlia (Ebonyi State)
Ogbodo Chinasa Nnam (Enugu State)
Kalba Danjuma Usman (Gombe State)
Usman Salihu Aminu (Kebbi State)
Oyekunle Patience Nwakuso (Rivers State)
Nadungu Gagare (Kaduna State)
President Tinubu has called on the new permanent secretaries to approach their duties with heightened commitment, diligence, and a spirit of innovation to effectively serve the nation.
The announcement was made by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy,on December 16, 2024.
