The Catholic Diocese of Kontagora in Niger State has published the names of 50 students from St. Mary’s School in the Papiri community of Agwara LGA who managed to escape after the mass abduction that occurred on November 21. Armed men had stormed the school that day and seized 315 people, including 303 students and 12 teachers.
The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Niger State confirmed that the students regained freedom between Friday and Saturday. According to CAN, they slipped away from captivity and quietly made their way back to their families.
