Full List: FG Approves Appointment of Eight New Deputy Corps Marshals in FRSC
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, has authorized the promotion of eight Assistant Corps Marshals (ACMs) to the rank of Deputy Corps Marshals (DCMs) within the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
The announcement, made on Monday by Olusegun Ogungbemide, the acting corps public education officer, revealed that three of the promoted officers would retire immediately, while the remaining five would fill existing vacancies across various geopolitical zones.
The newly appointed DCMs are:
Clement Oladele for the North-Central zone
Chidiebere Nkwonta for the South-East zone
Sunday Iyamah for the South-South zone
Musa Yerima for the North-West zone
Abiodun Akinlade for the South-West zone, taking over from DCM Bisi Kazeem in August
The retiring DCMs are Kingsley Agomoh, Jonas Agwu, and Zubairu Mato.
SGF George Akume praised the transparent and objective process leading to these appointments and urged the new DCMs to recommit themselves to the FRSC’s vision. He emphasized that these promotions align with President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to recognizing excellence and hard work.
FRSC Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, congratulated the newly appointed officers and encouraged those not selected to remain steadfast and loyal. He also assured improvements in the welfare of the corps personnel.
