Fubara Presents New Commissioner-Nominees to Rivers State House of Assembly
Governor Siminalayi Fubara has submitted a fresh list of commissioner-nominees to the State House of Assembly for approval.
The nominees, whose names were presented by the governor, are slated to undergo thorough screening by Assembly members aligned with his administration. The screening process is scheduled to commence today, Tuesday.

This development comes in the wake of resignations from key positions within the state government, notably by commissioners aligned with the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike. Notable among those who stepped down are Professor Chinedu Mmon, the commissioner for education, and Gift Worlu, the commissioner for housing. Citing a toxic work environment, they cited this as their reason for leaving their posts.
