In a stern address during the launch of the Elele-Omoku Road construction project in Rivers State, Governor Siminalayi Fubara has issued a clear warning to political figures in the region, asserting that those who engage in violence under the guise of politics will face consequences.
Governor Fubara’s message, delivered on Thursday, emphasized the imperative of maintaining peace and order, particularly among local government chairpersons whose terms are drawing to a close. He stressed the need for dignified conduct and peaceful transitions, cautioning against any form of violence or aggression.
Referencing recent incidents of unrest, Fubara underscored the gravity of the situation, affirming that no individual possesses a monopoly on violence. He urged restraint and reminded all parties of their shared responsibility to uphold civility and respect.
