Former Rivers Governor Blasts FCT Minister Wike: Calls for End to Power Greed!

In a scathing rebuke, former Governor of Rivers State, Sir Celestine Omehia, has called out FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, urging him to relinquish his thirst for power and allow Governor Siminalayi Fubara to govern effectively.

Omehia’s remarks, conveyed in a statement to media houses, were prompted by a recent televised interview hosted by Wike in Abuja, where he lambasted PDP leaders in Rivers State, including Uche Secondus and Sen George Sekibo, labeling them “expired politicians and buccaneers” due to their support for Fubara.

Describing Wike’s behavior as that of a confused mind, Omehia asserted that Wike’s frustration stemmed from the collapse of his ambition for a third term and the realization by the people of Rivers State that his pursuit of power was self-serving and not in the interest of the region.

Omehia accused Wike of habitual lying and disrespect towards elders, stating that his inconsistency and tendency to speak from both sides of his mouth were characteristic of a clown. He defended his support for the governor and the federal government under President Tinubu, questioning Wike’s desire for perpetual political warfare even after elections are over.

Highlighting Wike’s excesses and inconsistencies, Omehia advised him to focus on his responsibilities in Abuja, suggesting that his presence and disruptive behavior were not missed in the state.
