Former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello Seeks Transfer of EFCC Case to Kogi State

In a recent development, Yahaya Bello, the former governor of Kogi State, has formally requested that his ongoing legal battle with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) be moved to Kogi State. Bello’s defense hinges on the argument that the alleged financial misconduct and misuse of public funds, which are the subject of EFCC’s investigation, occurred during his tenure as governor of the state, thereby justifying that the legal proceedings should take place there.

Earlier, the Kogi State High Court had summoned Olukoyede to appear and explain his actions following an incident at Bello’s residence in Abuja.
