Former Enugu State Governor Reacts to Report of Ekweremadu’s Wife’s Release from UK Jail
Former National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and ex-Governor of Enugu State, Chief Okwesilieze Nwodo, has expressed joy over the release of Beatrice Ekweremadu from a UK prison.
Nwodo described her release as a significant relief for her family and the South East region, emphasizing that her return to Nigeria would help ease the loneliness her children endured during her incarceration. He noted that having one parent back home would provide much-needed support for the family.
Beatrice Ekweremadu, wife of former Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, had been sentenced by a UK court alongside her husband and Dr. Obinna Obeta on charges related to organ harvesting.
