Father of 12 Found Dead Inside Brothel in Bayelsa
The lifeless body of a man, reported to be a father of 12 children, was discovered in a brothel located along Tombia-Amossoma road in Yenagoa, Bayelsa.
According to local residents, the deceased, a 40-year-old man from Delta, remains unidentified at the time of this report.
Allegedly suffering from partial stroke, the man engaged in a sexual encounter that tragically resulted in his demise.
Sources indicate that he frequented the establishment and had left his home on Tuesday morning to meet with a sex worker. His naked body was later found in one of the rooms, deserted by all the commercial sex workers.
Residents, upon discovering the body, attempted to identify the deceased in order to inform his relatives for proper burial arrangements.
The brothel had previously attracted the attention of law enforcement as a red-light zone.
Mr. Tolumobofa Akpoebibo Jonathan, the Commander of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) in Bayelsa State, confirmed the deceased’s identity as a 40-year-old father of 12 from Delta state.
The Bayelsa State Police spokesperson, ASP Musa Muhammed, is in the process of gathering accurate information from the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) overseeing the area to provide further details on the incident.
