EEDC Announces Tariff Reduction for South-East Customers
The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) has announced a reduction in electricity tariff for customers in the Band A feeders. This decision, communicated by Mr. Emeka Ezeh, the Head of Communication at EEDC, comes in compliance with the directive issued by the National Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).
Effective immediately, customers in Band A feeders will now be charged N206.80/kWh, down from the previous rate of N225/kWh under the Multi-Year Tariff Order (MYTO) 2024. Despite the reduction in tariff, the EEDC assures customers of a daily minimum 20-hour supply.
It’s important to note that while the tariff for Band A feeders has been revised, there are no changes to the end-user tariff for Bands B, C, D, and E feeders.
