EDO STATE ELECTIONS: LAGOS STATE PDP ISSUES STERN WARNING TO APC AND INEC

Consequent upon recent happenings and information gathered over the past two weeks, we are privy to facts that there are purported plans by the APC to unleash violence and massive rigging in tomorrow’s elections in Edo State. we hereby wish to warn INEC not to get involved in any way in the rigging plans being ochestrated by APC and Adams Oshiomole.

It has come to our attention that lots of “thugs” have been moved by the APC in Lagos State into Benin and other Local Government areas in Edo State with a view to rigging the elections tomorrow.
It is common knowledge that the likes of specific NURTW chieftains in Lagos State have relocated to Edo State to forment trouble.

We the PDP Youths in Lagos State wish to inform the Public, President Muhammadu Buhari, the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, the DG of DSS in Edo State, and all military formations that there is a proposed rigging template that is intended to culminate into violence that is expected to be introduced by a Chieftain of the APC into the Democratic programme which is expected to elect the Governor of Edo State.

We the good people of Lagos State and in particular the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Youths hereby warn the APC, Adams Oshiomole, Osagie Ize-Iyamu, and all APC chieftains that any violence unleashed on PDP members and most especially our Governors in Edo State will resonate down to Lagos State, the Consequences of this can only be imagined and we would not like this to happen.

It is our expectation that an atmosphere of a free and fair election occasioned by a one man one vote crusade should be the order of the day.

Furthermore, it has also come to our knowledge that our Governors present in Edo State for the elections are being denied their Fundamental human right as regards free movement in any part of Nigeria.

We however, advice that President Muhammadu Buhari should instruct all Service Chiefs, the Inspector General of Police and other heads of all other security agencies not to condescend into permitting the usage of their men to detain, harass, undermine or stop the movement of any of our Governors before , during and after the election in Edo State.

We wish to state that any act put in place by the APC which infringes on their rights to free movement would be seen as a “coup” to democracy.
