Ebonyi Governor Suspends Two Commissioners
Governor Francis Nwifuru has suspended the state Commissioner for Works, Stanley Mbam, and the Commissioner for Infrastructure Development for Concession, Mr Obasi, citing dereliction of duty.
The decision was announced in a statement issued on Saturday by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Monday Uzor.
According to the statement, the suspension takes immediate effect. The affected commissioners have been directed to hand over all government property in their possession, including official vehicles, to the Secretary to the State Government.
The action follows growing public concern over delays and substandard delivery of several projects across Ebonyi State.
