An Oyo State high court presided over by Justice Ladiran Akintola has directed that a sum of N20billion should be paid by the Department of State Security (DSS) to Sunday Adeyemo (aka Sunday Igboho) for unlawfully invading his Soka, Ibadan house on July 1.

The Judge declared the invasion as illegal, also lashed out at the DSS for acting based on what he described as “arbitrary aggression and prejudices” from his agitation for Yoruba nation.

Justice Akintola stated that the sum was awarded as exemplary and aggravated damages against the DSS.

You would recall that Sunday Igboho had sued the DSS for invaded his private home, seeking N500 billion damages for the invasion.
