Domestic Worker Arrested After Allegedly Fleeing with Employer’s Car in Anambra
A domestic worker has been arrested after allegedly fleeing with his employer’s vehicle in Anambra State. The suspect, identified as Divine Ifeanyi Nnalue, was apprehended by police operatives attached to the 33 Police Station on June 13 at Ugbeji-Okpanam, near Asaba in Delta State.
Nnalue is accused of stealing a black Toyota Camry with registration number ENU 289 JF from his employer’s residence on Trinity Avenue in the Federal Housing area of 33. During police interrogation, the suspect reportedly confessed to selling the stolen vehicle to an unidentified buyer.
Anambra State Police Command spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the arrest and stated that investigations are ongoing to recover the vehicle and apprehend other individuals who may be connected to the crime. He emphasized that the arrest reflects the Command’s determination to pursue and prosecute those who violate trust and engage in criminal activities, while also reinforcing its commitment to safeguarding citizens’ property and upholding the law.
