Doherty Dissociates Self From online Governorship Poster Rumor

The Leader of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Unity Freedom Group, Engr Adedeji Doherty, has come out to clear the air on an Online Governorship Poster being circulated by some members of the party, who were believed to have mainly been toying with political ideas that they feel could crystallise within the Lagos State Chapter of the Party

Engr Doherty said he has not consulted with party leaders, nor has he shown any interest in running for the position of Governor in the state in 2023 in any way, talk less of him picking a running mate which everyone knows is not usually the sole decision of a candidate.

Engr Doherty in a released statement said “Personally, I thank those that see me worthy of flying the party flag come 2023 , but I believe the time isn’t ripe for me to throw my hat in the ring even if I have any intention to run.”

“At the moment, I am fully occupied with building a more organised winning party structure, immediate family assignments and unfinished personal business projects.”

“These are my priorities for now”

“Furthermore, I would also like to seize this opportunity to officially welcome the Lagos 4 Lagos Movement led by Mr Olajide Adediran aka Jandor into the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and promise to give himself and his team all the cooperation they might need to make their exit from the APC a memorable one.”
