Details of Ill-fated Helicopter Boarded by Wigwe, Wife, Others
The Eurocopter EC 130 carrying Access Bank CEO, Herbert Wigwe, his wife, and four others, met a tragic fate near Fort Irwin/Barstow, California. The ill-fated helicopter departed from Palm Springs Airport, California, at approximately 8:45 p.m. local time on Friday.
Flight details obtained from FlightAware revealed the helicopter, registered as N130CZ and owned by Orbic Helicopter Tours, was scheduled to land at Boulder City, Nevada, at 9:49 p.m. local time. Unfortunately, no survivors have been located, and the cause of the crash remains unknown.
Access Holdings, the parent company of Access Bank, has not yet confirmed Mr. Wigwe’s involvement in the incident. The New York Times reported a total of six individuals on board during the crash near the California-Nevada border. The investigation into the tragedy is ongoing as the public awaits further updates.
