Delta Community Banishes ‘Pastor Homo’ Accused Of Molesting Teenage Boys
A 33-year-old man identified as Onome Imoniruvwe, also known as “Pastor Homo,” has been banished from the Otovwodo (Agbassa) Community in the Agbarha-Warri Kingdom, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, following allegations of sexual abuse involving several teenage boys. The accusations suggest that Imoniruvwe, a self-proclaimed pastor, sexually assaulted male teenagers aged between 14 and 16.
The community issued a public notice on April 10, 2025, condemning Imoniruvwe’s actions as “unscrupulous, inhuman, and abominable.” The statement, signed by community leaders including the Traditional Prime Minister Hon. Jerry Ope Osioh, spokesman Obabokor Otota, and secretary Jeremiah Erhumejih Akarohor, emphasized that the decision to banish him was a result of a disturbing incident involving a 15-year-old boy. The leaders further revealed that Imoniruvwe had been expelled from a previous location, Edukugho in the Iyara area, due to similar allegations.
In their public notice, the community detailed the nature of the accusations, claiming that Imoniruvwe had engaged in homosexual acts with male children both within the church and outside of it. It was noted that the acts were committed in violation of cultural, religious, and moral values held by the community. As a result, the community declared that Imoniruvwe, who originates from Kokori in Ethiope East Local Government Area, should no longer be allowed within the Otovwodo Agbassa area or its surrounding regions.
The statement further stressed that the abuse was not only a violation of the community’s norms but also of the sanctity of the Church, describing the pastor’s actions as “abominable to humanity.”
