Decomposed Bodies of Woman and Her Two Children Found in Locked Shop in FCT
The Police in the Federal Capital Territory have recovered the decomposed bodies of a woman and her two children inside a locked shop on Tudun Wada Street in Abaji. The discovery was made on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, after a resident reported a strong foul odour coming from the premises.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama confirmed that detectives, officials of the Area Council Environment Department, and FRSC personnel were deployed to the scene. With the assistance of neighbours, authorities forced open the shop, which had been locked from within.
Inside, the bodies of 44-year-old Nnena Ann Patrick Okorie, her 13-year-old daughter Christiana, and nine-year-old son Ebube, all from Amechi Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, were found in a decomposed state.
The remains were evacuated to Abaji General Hospital, where a medical doctor certified them dead before transferring them to the morgue. Police have begun investigations to determine the circumstances that led to their deaths.
