“Davido Is Being Frustrated for Refusing to Do Demonic Stuff” — Cubana Chief Priest
Nigerian socialite Pascal Okechukwu, known as Cubana Chief Priest, has suggested that singer Davido’s repeated setbacks at the Grammy Awards may be tied to pressures from some Western music executives. He claims these figures are attempting to influence the artist in ways he refuses to accept.
Davido lost to South African singer Tyla in the Best African Music Performance category at the 2026 Grammy Awards, a result widely covered in the media.
Speaking on Instagram, Cubana Chief Priest encouraged Davido to stay true to his principles, urging him not to yield to alleged pressures from the industry. He also called on the singer to move past the disappointment and continue producing music for his fans.
“Industry players sometimes try to break strong artists to make them compromise, but he will not,” Cubana Chief Priest wrote. “Keep your head up and drop another hit. The music never ends.”
