Dangote Refinery Reduces Petrol Price to ₦899 Ahead of Festive Season
Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a significant reduction in petrol prices, offering relief to Nigerians as the Christmas and New Year celebrations approach. The new price, set at ₦899.50 per litre, aims to alleviate transportation costs during the busy holiday season.
In a statement released by the company’s spokesman, Anthony Chiejina, the refinery revealed an additional incentive for consumers. For every litre purchased with cash, buyers can acquire an extra litre on credit, supported by a bank guarantee from Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank.
The price reduction follows an earlier adjustment in November, when the refinery lowered its petrol price to ₦970 per litre. The current offer is available at the refinery’s truck loading gantry and SPM.
Chiejina expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their support, emphasizing the refinery’s commitment to providing premium-quality petroleum products that are competitively priced, environmentally safe, and engine-friendly. He underscored the refinery’s pivotal role in transforming Nigeria’s energy sector by eliminating reliance on substandard and blended imported fuels, which have posed risks to health, machinery, and the environment.
With a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, Dangote Refinery continues to position itself as a key player in ensuring Nigerians have access to high-quality fuel while supporting the country’s drive toward energy independence.
