Daddy Freeze dares Ibiyeomie, releases picture of Parents

Daddy Freeze, a radio broadcaster, whose real name is Ifedayo Olarinde, and who has a penchant for bluntly criticizing Nigerian Pastors, has come out to dare the Founder and Senior Pastor of Salvation Ministries, Port Harcourt, David Ibiyeomie, with the release of the picture of his parents.

Freeze released the picture of his Mum and Dad on social media to affirm that he was born of a Nigerian father and a Romanian mother.

The controversy had started when Bishop Oyedepo had preached at one of his recent sermons that women must submit to their husbands.

Daddy Freeze in his usual style had come out to counter Oyedepo saying that submission goes both ways and not for the woman alone. He subsequently quoted a Bible passage, Ephesians 5 vs 21-25 which states that the wife is supposed to submit to the husband just as he submits to Christ in their home.

He went further saying “you cannot blame a woman who refuses to submit to a drunk. You cannot blame a woman who refuses to submit to someone who doesn’t want to go out there and work.”

These utterances by Freeze had enraged Ibiyeomie, who saw the comments as insults on his “father”.

David Ibiyeomie who completed his Bible School training at Bishop David Oyedepo’s Word of Faith Bible Institute (WOFBI) considers Oyedepo as his “Spiritual father”.

Consequent upon the statements from Freeze, Ibiyeomie in a video that has since gone viral, was seen saying, “Insult me, I won’t comment but insult Oyedepo… that b**tard, any day I hear you talk about him… Do they know his (Freeze’s) father? Does Daddy Freeze have a father? Who’s his father?”

A visibly enraged Ibiyeomie continued by saying “I’ll tear you to pieces, b**tard. People who have fathers don’t insult fathers. He’s insulting because he has no father. Does he (Freeze) look like a Nigerian? Somebody they gave birth to on the ship”.

He further said: “That half-caste who is born by a Somalian? The day I hear him insult Oyedepo, I’ll deal with him. Oyedepo may not talk but I can’t be alive and you’d insult my father. I can’t take it”.

However in a move that seems more like an answer to Ibiyeomie’s queries, Freeze has come out to release the picture of his father and his mother.Reports have it that Ifedayo Olarinde “Daddy Freeze” was born in Cluj-Napoca, Romania to a Nigerian father and a Romanian mother.
