Create New Emirate for Sanusi in Kaduna Since You Treat Him Like a Hero, Kano APC Tells El-Rufai
The Kano State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has advised the Kaduna state Governor, Nasir El-Rufai to create an Emirate in his state for the dethroned Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II.
In a statement issued on Monday by the deputy state party chairman, Alhaji Shehu Maiga, the Party said the advise was necessary since El-Rufai has decided to treat Sanusi like a hero despite working against the party and critical of President Muhammadu Buhari.
“Your Excellency, Governor Nasir el-Rufai, this is somebody who worked against the success of APC, your dear party, coming out openly to criticise your mentor (Mr. President) with no concrete reasons or justifications but yet you have decided to treat him like a hero.
“Sir, APC Kano Chapter is strongly advising you to create additional emirate in your state like New Kaduna Emirate Council, probably to start from Rigachikun to Kasuwar Magani and install your hero there, so that he can work effectively for his dear party (PDP) over there, instead of giving him those ceremonial positions,” the statement said.
El-Rufai has openly expressed support for the deposed Emir since he was dethroned last week. He appointed him the a Chancellor of the Kaduna state University and the vice chairman of the board of the state investment promotion agency (KADIP).
