Corps Member Found Dead in Lodge
The Bauchi State Police Command has confirmed the death of a serving National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member in Dambam Local Government Area.
The incident was reported at about 9:20 a.m. on Sunday, August 10, 2025, when fellow Christian corps members, who were preparing for church service, noticed that 28-year-old Mr. Nwokedi Chukwuebuka Gerald, with state code number BA/25A/2069, had not woken up.
Police officers dispatched to the lodge transported the body to the General Hospital in Dambam, where a medical doctor certified him dead. His remains were later moved to the Federal Medical Centre, Azare, for preservation.
According to police sources, there were no visible signs of violence on the body, and no foul play is suspected at this time. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding his death are ongoing.
