Confession: How We Killed Commercial Sex-worker for Ritual – Suspect
In a chilling revelation, Raman Akande, a suspect apprehended in connection with the brutal murder of a commercial sex worker in Ifo, Ogun State, has confessed to his involvement in the crime, detailing a macabre ritual.
Akande, in a video confession disclosed that he conspired with two accomplices to kill the victim as part of a ritualistic act promised to him by an individual known only as Ifa, who pledged a reward of N100,000.
According to Akande, the crime unfolded when he lured the victim to his residence under the pretext of paying her N3,000 for an overnight stay. He enlisted his friend, identified as Ijebu, to carry out the deadly assault, striking the victim with a wooden object until she collapsed. Subsequently, Ifa allegedly slaughtered her and collected her blood in a calabash.
“I agreed to participate because Ifa promised me N100,000,” Akande confessed.
The victim, not known personally to Akande beyond previous encounters as a client, was brutally attacked after she had willingly accompanied him to his home.
Efforts to obtain a statement from the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, were unsuccessful at the time of reporting. However, a senior police source confirmed the arrest and subsequent transfer of the suspect to the State Criminal Investigation Department.
This shocking incident comes in the wake of heightened concerns over ritualistic killings in the region, following a recent arrest of another individual for similar gruesome acts in Itoko, Ogun State.
