Coalition: We Have Not Adopted ADC for 2027 – Former APC Chieftain Clarifies
In a recent statement, a prominent opposition coalition member has denied reports that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has been adopted as the coalition’s platform for the 2027 general elections.
Salihu Moh. Lukman, a former member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee and a key figure in the opposition coalition, spoke out on Thursday from Abuja. He described the media reports as misleading and false, emphasizing that no such decision has been made.
Lukman also refuted claims that he has been appointed to lead the coalition’s secretariat, calling those reports “completely false” and urging the public to disregard them.
According to Lukman, negotiations among coalition leaders are still ongoing. He assured that any formal announcements regarding political platforms for the 2027 elections will come directly from the coalition’s leadership.
He further accused some parties of spreading false stories to create discord within the coalition, warning the media and the public not to be misled by such misinformation.
The opposition coalition’s position remains in flux as talks continue, with final decisions expected soon.
