Chinese Expatriate Stabbed to Death in Ogun State

A tragic incident has claimed the life of Chen Wang, a 33-year-old Chinese national and manager at Fujiada Electronics Technology Company Ltd, located along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State. Wang was reportedly stabbed to death in his office around noon on Sunday.

The Ogun State Police Command confirmed the incident, revealing that it was reported by Akosile Akinsanmi, a manager at the company. According to the police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, a manhunt is underway for a suspect identified only as Jonah and his unidentified female accomplice, both of whom are accused of carrying out the attack.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspects broke into Wang’s office during the company’s routine staff break. They allegedly stabbed the expatriate and fled the scene before other employees could intervene.

Odutola disclosed that detectives from the Ogere Police Division have visited the crime scene, where evidence, including photographs of the deceased, was collected. The remains of Chen Wang have been transferred to the Babcock University Teaching Hospital for a postmortem examination.

The police have urged anyone with information on the whereabouts of Jonah or his accomplice to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.
