Chelsea in Advanced Talks with Victor Osimhen’s Representatives for Potential Transfer
Chelsea Football Club has intensified its pursuit of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen. The London-based club has entered negotiations with Osimhen’s representatives to finalize the player’s personal terms, reports transfer expert Rudy Galetti.
Osimhen, who has been a standout performer for Napoli, is reportedly the top transfer target for Chelsea. Growing up in Lagos, Osimhen was a supporter of the London club, adding sentimental value to the potential move.
Currently earning a substantial salary of approximately Nine Million Euros per year at Napoli, Osimhen is poised to seek an enhanced contract. Chelsea, known for their financial prowess, appears capable of meeting the striker’s salary expectations.
Once the personal terms are agreed upon, Chelsea is expected to initiate discussions with Napoli to secure Osimhen’s transfer. Napoli, in a strategic move, has inserted a 130 million Euros release clause in the player’s contract, underscoring the significance of any potential deal.
Notably, Chelsea faces competition from their London rivals, as Arsenal is also reportedly prepared to offer a lucrative deal to secure Osimhen’s services.
